There is a wonderful land that God has placed in front of us. However, we often sabotage ourselves by not believing we are capable of possessing it.
In Numbers 13:27-28, the spies, who went into the Promised Land, reported: “Yes, it is flowing with milk and honey, NEVERTHELESS the people who live in the land are strong; and their cities are fortified…”
As a result of their doubt and negativity, God responded, “They shall by no means see the land which I swore to their fathers, nor shall any of those who spurned Me see it” (Numbers 14:23).
REMEMBER:
What you dwell upon, think and imagine will happen.
You become what you think about.
Numbers 14:1-4 continues, “Then all the people lifted up their voices and wept that night. They grumbled against Moses and Aaron; and the whole congregation said to them, ‘Would that we had died in the land of Egypt! Or would that we had died in this wilderness!
‘… would it not be better for us to return to Egypt?’”
The people rebelled and totally lost the ownership of their minds. They could have made the trip to the Promised Land in forty days; instead it cost them 40 years! Also, they left rich, but became poor…
Doubt and negativity are contagious. It all comes down to what you listen to—good report or bad report.
MEDITATE ON THIS:
Wilderness is “the land of just enough.”
It is only intended to be a transition point,
not a long-term destination.
How do we get out of “the land of just enough?” By choosing life!
Deuteronomy 30:15, 19 says: “See, I have set before you today life and prosperity, and death and adversity… life and death, the blessing and the curse. SO CHOOSE LIFE in order that you may live, you and your descendants.”
Choose life in your thoughts, words and actions! Dare to step into God’s Promised Land!
