Are you haunted by the regrets of your past?
I have good news for you.
“If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation
the old things passed away;
behold and see, THE NEW has come”
(2 Corinthians 5:17).
How many of you have not made a big mistake?
Look at the greats in the Bible. Driven by fear for his life, Abraham offered his wife to a foreign king twice. Moses murdered a man. King David slept with his friend’s wife and then killed him. Are your mistakes that big?
Stop running away from your mistakes—owning them gives you power to forgive yourself and help others.
God uses our failures as lessons; they work for our good (we believe this by faith: Romans 8:28).
Bishop Phillip Jones says, “Just put the skunk on the table, God can deal with it.”
God uncomplicates—unravels things. He says, “Turn away from your foolishness!”
Affirm this out loud:
My past is a foreign land and I won’t come back to it.
Today is a brand new day!
