Proverbs 13:22, “A good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children, and the wealth of the sinner is stored up for the righteous.”
John Calvin said, “Here today, gone tomorrow.” Legacy is something you leave behind. I like to say, “Legacy is what your life will look like when you look back on it.” It is your name, reputation, your life work and values that will continue to live long after you’re gone. Legacy makes life worth living.
Each one of us has a right and a privilege to create our legacy. Think about it: in order to create a great legacy, you need to have a vision. And it takes focus, energy and patience to make your vision a reality.
You cannot create your legacy from your past mistakes and failures. Leave them behind—and set your good expectations toward the future. We shape our tomorrow by the decisions we make today.
What legacy are you creating?
