Money touches every aspect of our lives.
Can I afford a car?
Can I run a ministry?
Can my child go to college?
Whether you’re rich or poor, money is “required” on this earth.
Are you surprised that 60% of wealthy people constantly worry about not having enough? I know very rich people who don’t have peace or enjoy what they have, but live with anxiety and regret that they don’t have more.
“Money’s demands” rob us of peace and happiness and make us “shrink” emotionally. Anxiety causes us to doubt God’s goodness, provision and abundance.
Worry, anxiety and stress are the serial killers of our generation. Mayo Clinic attributes over 80% of all diseases to them. Almost every disease has a psychosomatic root, which usually results from ignoring God’s Wisdom and instructions.
That’s why in Luke 12 (we’ll read from The Passion Translation), Jesus says, “Listen to Me. Never let anxiety enter your hearts. Take the carefree birds as your example. Do you ever see them worry? God takes care of every one of them, feeding each of them from His love and goodness. Isn’t your life more precious to God than a bird?
Does worry add anything to your life? . . . So if worrying adds nothing, but actually subtracts from your life, why would you worry about God’s care of you?”
Just think about this: God’s will for you is to live worry-free!
“How do I do this?” you may ask. Peace comes when you walk with the Lord and renew your mind daily, letting go of negative concepts, bad self-talk and fears. It takes time to change the patterns of your mind, but if you don’t do it, you’ll be “stuck” in stress and anxiety.
I want to help you change your concepts.
