FEAR and FAITH have the same definition – they both believe what cannot be seen.
What do you “see” when you envision your future?
If you CHOOSE fear, the image of your future will be very negative – probably you’ll see yourself lost in the hustle and bustle of your “ant hill” life, with no hope of ever getting out. You’ll be “stuck” in your past – processing your failures and regrets over and over again.
Fear stops you from reaching into the wonderful future God has prepared for you.
If you CHOOSE faith, you’ll get a different vision of the future – you see God’s dreams, plans and exciting opportunities waiting for you.
Hebrews 11:1 states that “faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.”
Faith allows you to “see” what can’t be seen – yet.
Some of the biggest fears people experience today are the fear of failure and the fear of lack. These fears literally keep people in prison and trap them on the hamster wheel.
In order to break free from these fears, you need to get rid of your negative concepts and really believe God’s Word.
Psalm 23:1 says, “The Lord is my Shepherd. I SHALL NOT want, lack, need or decrease!”
I encourage you to take time to study Psalm 23 like you’ve never done before. Pray that God opens the eyes of your heart to see Him as your Provider.
Believe that His love, goodness and mercy follow you – chase after you – nip at your heels. What a wonderful Shepherd He is!
What is your choice – fear or faith?
