Leadership is about change, or it’s irrelevant, managers can handle the status quo. Great leaders envision where they want to be in five years and become the change-agent to get there. Remember, accurate, adequate and shared information coupled with open and honest communication is the only way to make informed decisions so critical to change. All great leaders know it takes courage and determination to honestly define present reality and devise a forward progress strategy, especially when times are tough and resources are limited. No change, no progress, it’s as simple as that.
